K-State Signs Mammen to National Letter of Intent

MANHATTAN, Kan. – Kansas State women’s golf head coach Kristi Knight has announced that Clovis, California, native Hayden Mammen has signed a National Letter of Intent (NLI) and will join the Wildcats for the 2016-17 season.

“We are excited to add Hayden to our Wildcat Golf Family,” Knight said. “Attracting a junior golfer of her caliber from California is evidence of the trajectory of our program. Hayden has all the attributes to become an elite college golfer at K-State, and her addition will add even more depth to our currently talented roster.”

A product of Clovis High School, Mammen is one of the premiere junior golfers in Northern California. She won the Haggan Oaks Tournament Champion where she shot a 69 for the event. A three-time North Area Tri River Valley Conference Champion, Mammen was also selected as the 2014 Tri Valley River Player of the Year.

The daughter of Bobby and Jenny Mammen, Hayden has also played in the USGA Girls Junior Qualifier and represented the Junior Golf Association of Northern California (JGANC) in the Mary Crave and North-South team championships.

K-State will begin its spring campaign February 12-14, at the Florida State Match Up held at the Southwood Golf Club in Tallahassee, Florida.
