K-State Soccer Single Match Tickets Available Wednesday

MANHATTAN, Kan. – With the first official match in just over a month, single-match tickets for K-State Soccer’s inaugural season will go on sale Wednesday, August 17.

Excitement is high for the launch of K-State’s newest sport, and the inaugural match against Northern Iowa at 7 p.m. Friday, September 16, is down to standing room only. A limited number of standing room tickets will be sold in advance starting Wednesday, with another allotment held for walk up sales the night of the match. Standing room areas include the grassy hill on the southwest corner of the field, areas behind the north goal, and the sideline on the east side of the field to the north and south of the team benches. The main grandstand will be held for anticipated attendance by Founders Club members, Junior Wildcats, K-State students, and guests of the student-athletes.

All tickets are priced at $5 for youth/seniors/military and $8 for adults. To purchase tickets, fans should contact the K-State Athletics Ticket Office in Bramlage Coliseum by calling (800) 221-CATS or visiting www.kstatesports.com/tickets.
 
K-State will host four home matches in 2016, with the first three being part of Wildcat Weekends, as fans can purchase tickets for just $3 when showing that weekend’s football game ticket.  
 
Northern Iowa – 7 p.m. Friday, September 16 (Football vs FAU on Saturday, September 17)
Oral Roberts – 7 p.m. Friday, September 23 (Football vs Missouri State on Saturday, September 24)
South Dakota – 1 p.m Sunday, September 25 (Football vs Missouri State on Saturday, September 24)
UMKC – 7 p.m. Friday, September 30
 
A limited number of general admission grandstand tickets will be available for the final three home matches.  The benchwarmers program will be available for standing room only ticket holders, offering fans the opportunity to pick up a wristband at the Fan Experience gazebo and to move into any unclaimed seats in the general admission grandstand after the first 15 minutes of the match.
 
Season tickets are still available through the K-State Soccer Founders Club. The purple ($100) and platinum ($1000) levels include season tickets for both 2016 and 2017 seasons. Founders Club memberships also include the exclusive K-State Soccer scarf and t-shirt. Membership is currently more than 1,200 members representing 38 states. Head coach Mike Dibbini enters the program’s first season with 36 players on the roster, led by team captains: redshirt sophomore Kim Braddock (forward/midfielder), junior Miranda Larkin (goalkeeper) and redshirt sophomore Hali Sutter (defender).

The Wildcats will host their final scrimmage of the season on Tuesday, August 16 against Washburn at 7 p.m. Admission for the scrimmage is free. Gates to the K-State Soccer Complex, located south of Tointon Family Stadium, will open at 6 p.m. K-State officially begins its inaugural season on Friday, August 19 at Saint Louis at 7 p.m. Listen live to the match on www.kstatesports.com.
