K-State Staffers Receive National Honors

MANHATTAN, Kan. – The Kansas State Fan Experience and Sales and Athletics Communication departments recently received a total of five national honors for excellence in 2014-15 from their respective organizations during the National Association of Collegiate Directors of Athletics (NACDA) national convention in Orlando, Fla.

The Fan Experience and Sales department earned two awards, including a Gold honor and a Bronze, for its work during the 2014-15 athletics season from the National Association of Collegiate Marketing Administrators (NACMA).

The department took home the Gold award for top sales piece with the 2014-15 men’s basketball ticket wood mailer. The mailer featured a basketball court background on an actual piece of wood with members of the 2014-15 men’s basketball team emerging from an octagon shape. The target of the promotional piece were single-game ticket buyers who attended two or more games during the previous season.

The Bronze award garnered by the department was earned for the 2014 football season ticket campaign. The campaign featured the tagline of “It’s All About Family,” and was featured in videos on kstatesports.com and social media platforms, print pieces, billboards and e-mails.
