K-State to Host Hoop Scoop for Women Clinic October 29

MANHATTAN, Kan. – Kansas State head coach Bruce Weber and his staff will host the American Cancer Society’s Hoop Scoop for Women clinic on Saturday, October 29 from 10 a.m. to 1:30 p.m., at the Ice Family Basketball Center.

The clinic will give attendees an exclusive look at the ins-and-outs of the men’s basketball program as well as provide personal interaction with members of the coaching staff and student-athletes.

The third annual event includes:
Special welcome from head coach Bruce Weber
Presentations by the coaching and support staff
Q&A session with K-State men’s basketball student-athletes
Tour of the Ice Family Basketball Center and the Vanier Family Football Complex
Catered lunch at the Ahearn Fund Student-Athlete Performance Table
Silent and live auction
Clear tote bag that can be used at all K-State Athletics events
Nike gift
Discounted ticket offer to any home non-conference game
Invitation to watch practice

The cost is $50 per person with all the proceeds benefiting the American Cancer Society and Coaches vs. Cancer.

In addition to the clinic, attendees can bid on a number of silent auction items, including an overnight package for the Wildcat Classic at the Sprint Center against Washington State on Saturday, December 10, a loge box for the Baylor game on Saturday, January 14, 2017, four courtside seats and a restaurant gift card for the Baylor game and dinner at Colbert Hills for two couples hosted by Bruce and Megan Weber as well as other items, including a personalized Nike jersey and signed basketballs by Bruce Weber and women’s coach Jeff Mittie.

The deadline to register for the event is Friday, October 28. Reservations are limited to the first 150 registrants.

It is recommended that all participants dress in casual, purple attire and sneakers.
