Four WBB Games to Air on Big 12's National TV Package

MANHATTAN, Kan. – Four Kansas State women’s basketball games have been selected as part of the Big 12's national television package this season, including its first appearance on FS1, as the league television partners have made their picks for the upcoming season.

K-State’s first appearance on national television in the 2016-17 season will be Sunday, December 11 against four-time defending national champion Connecticut on FS1. Game time is 1 p.m.

Ticket packages remain available for the K-State-Connecticut matchup. A $20 chairback ticket package that includes an exclusive t-shirt is available until Tuesday, December 1 or while supplies last. A $38 Wildcat 4 Pack is another affordable option and includes four general admission tickets and four $10 concessions vouchers.

General admission, bench and Cat Cushion tickets are available for just $3, a savings of $5, until Saturday, October 1, and for only $5 from October 3 until gameday, December 11. Any remaining tickets will be sold on gameday at regular price: $12 for chairback, $9 for Cat Cushion, $8 for adult general admission and $5 for youth, military and senior citizens.

The Wildcats will play three games on FOX Sports Regional Networks (FSN) with the first against Oklahoma State on Saturday, January 28 at 3 p.m. The next game on FSN will be on Saturday, February 11 against Iowa State at 1 p.m., and the final FSN game will be at TCU on Saturday, February 18 at 3 p.m.

All nine games of the 2017 Big 12 Championship will be televised for the fourth consecutive year beginning with the two first round contests on FOX College Sports. Quarterfinal games will air on FSN for the 16th consecutive year while the semifinals and final will make their fourth national appearance on FS1. The final three games have appeared on FOX Sports networks every year since the inception of the Conference in 1996-97.

Third-tier selections by Kansas State’s television partners and road selections will be announced later this fall.

For the 2016-17 season, K-State head coach Jeff Mittie returns nine letter winners from the 2015-16 squad that reached the second round of the 2016 NCAA Tournament. The Wildcats will be led into the 2016-17 season by 2016 All-Big 12 First Team selection and two-time Big 12 All-Defensive Team honoree Breanna Lewis and 2016 All-Big 12 Second Team selection Kindred Wesemann. Overall, K-State returns 75 percent of its scoring and assists and 87 percent of its rebounding.

In addition to the returning letter winners, Kansas State welcomes in five newcomers for the 2016-17 season including: junior guard Karyla Middlebrook (Blue Springs, Missouri), redshirt freshman forward Lanie Page (Wamego, Kansas), freshman guard Mercedes Brooks (Wichita Falls, Texas), freshman forward Peyton Williams (Topeka, Kansas) and freshman forward Eternati Willock (Scarborough, Ontario, Canada).
