K-State Unveils 2016-17 Promotions, Single-Game Tickets on Sale October 3

MANHATTAN, Kansas – Kansas State Athletics announced on Wednesday a number of single game ticket promotions for the 18 women’s basketball games in Bramlage Coliseum for the 2016-17 season. All individual game tickets will be available through the K-State Athletics Ticket Office (800-221-CATS, www.kstatesports.com/tickets) beginning at 8:30 a.m., on Monday, Oct. 3.

The Wildcats have four “Wildcat Weekend” home dates this season, including a pair of doubleheaders with the K-State men’s team. On Friday, Nov. 4, K-State will host Washburn and on Friday, Nov. 11 the Wildcats host Chicago State. Both games tip-off at 5:30 p.m. Tickets are available by purchasing a ticket to the men’s game that night starting at $10, or only $5 for the Nov. 4 game if you have a football ticket to the Oklahoma State game the next day.

The final two “Wildcat Weekend” games will be on Sunday, Nov. 20 against Lamar at 1 p.m., and Saturday, January 7 against Texas Tech at 7 p.m. Fans with a ticket to that day’s men’s basketball game can purchase a women’s basketball general admission bench ticket for only $3 – a savings of $5.

Kansas State will offer a men’s and women’s Holiday Mini-Plan which includes a general admission seat for the men’s game against Gardner-Webb on Wednesday, Dec. 21, the men’s Big 12 opener with Texas on Friday, Dec. 30 and the women’s conference home opener with West Virginia on Saturday, Jan. 1, at 1 p.m., along with an exclusive K-State stocking cap – for just $30.

Kansas State’s seventh annual “Pack the House” game will take place on Saturday, Feb. 11, against Iowa State at 1 p.m. All tickets for the game, as well as popcorn, pretzels and candy, will be available for just $1 each.

On Friday, Dec. 2, fans can purchase a Craft and Draft ticket, which includes a pre-game craft class taught by Straight Upp Studios, a drink voucher and a general admission ticket for just $20. Season-ticket holders are able to purchase a Craft and Draft ticket for just $17. Only 100 Craft and Draft tickets will be available.

K-State is offering a $3 Bounceback Ticket to any fan that purchases a single game ticket to the UConn game on Sunday, Dec. 11. With the Bounceback Ticket, with the use of a special promo code, fans can attend the Princeton game on Sunday, Dec. 18 or the Big 12 home opener against West Virginia on Sunday, Jan. 1, for $3.

For the 12th straight season, K-State will host a pink game by participating in the annual WBCA “Play 4 Kay” initiative. This year’s “Play 4Kay” game will be on Saturday, Jan. 28 against Oklahoma State at 3 p.m. The first 4,000 fans will receive a pink K-State t-shirt. The Wildcats will also be donning pink uniforms for the 10th straight season.

K-State’s annual recognition of National Girls and Women in Sports Day will be on Wednesday, Jan. 25 against Baylor. All kids wearing a team jersey will receive free admission.

Prior to the Sunday, Dec. 18 game against Princeton, Kansas State athletics will assist Fort Riley’s Operation Santa toy drive. Fans may purchase a $3 general admission ticket by dropping off a new toy donation at the entrance to Bramlage Coliseum.

In addition to the “Play 4 Kay” game against the Cowgirls, Jan. 28 will also include the Junior Wildcat Day and Willie’s Birthday. A pregame event for all Junior Wildcat members will be held and all Junior Wildcat members in attendance at the game will receive a free slush when presenting their membership card.

Before the Tuesday, Feb. 21, game against Oklahoma at 7 p.m., Kansas State’s Student-Athlete Advisory Committee will collect donations for its annual Tipoff for TP drive. All fans are encouraged to bring packages of toilet paper, paper towels and garbage bags to benefit the Manhattan Emergency Shelter and drop them off with K-State student-athletes at the entrances to Bramlage Coliseum.

Youth teams and campers are invited to attend any of the four “Youth Team/Camper Nights” as a group free of charge. The dates this season are: Sunday, Dec. 18, against Princeton; Wednesday, Jan. 11 against Kansas; Wednesday, Jan. 25, against Baylor; and Saturday, Jan. 28, against Oklahoma State. New this season are discounted general admission tickets when purchased before gameday. Advance GA tickets are only $5, a savings of $3. Prices for single game tickets this season are: $5 for general admission youth military and senior citizens, $8 general admission adult, $9 for reserved bench/cushion seating and $12 for chairback.

Ticket packages are available now for the K-State-Connecticut matchup. A $20 chairback ticket package that includes an exclusive t-shirt is available until Tuesday, December 1 or while supplies last. A $38 Wildcat 4 Pack is another affordable option and includes four general admission tickets and four $10 concessions vouchers.

General admission, bench and Cat Cushion tickets to the UConn game are available now for just $3, a savings of $5, until Saturday, October 1, and for only $5 from October 3 until gameday, December 11. With more than two months remaining, more than 6,000 tickets have already been purchased for the game. Any remaining tickets will be sold on gameday at regular price: $12 for chairback, $9 for Cat Cushion, $8 for adult general admission and $5 for youth, military and senior citizens.

Season tickets remain available for the 18-game home schedule in the 2016-17 season for as low as $20. All season ticket holders will receive season long concession discounts which includes $1 off all hot dogs, popcorn, pretzels and large souvenir fountain drinks (excludes the Pack the House game). The annual Season Ticket Holder Appreciation Day will be held Sunday, Dec. 18 against Princeton. A pregame event will be held in the Legends Room to honor all season ticket holders.

For the 2016-17 season, K-State head coach Jeff Mittie returns nine letter winners from the 2015-16 squad that reached the second round of the 2016 NCAA Tournament. The Wildcats will be led into the 2016-17 season by 2016 All-Big 12 First Team selection and two-time Big 12 All-Defensive Team honoree Breanna Lewis and 2016 All-Big 12 Second Team selection Kindred Wesemann. Overall, K-State returns 75 percent of its scoring and assists and 87 percent of its rebounding.

In addition to the returning letter winners, Kansas State welcomes in five newcomers for the 2016-17 season including: junior guard Karyla Middlebrook (Blue Springs, Missouri), redshirt freshman forward Lanie Page (Wamego, Kansas), freshman guard Mercedes Brooks (Wichita Falls, Texas), freshman forward Peyton Williams (Topeka, Kansas) and freshman forward Eternati Willock (Scarborough, Ontario, Canada).
