Letter from A.D. John Currie - November 25

Most importantly, Wildcat fans can be proud that K-State has the No. 1 graduation rate in the Big 12 for all student-athletes for the fourth straight year, a testament to our student-athletes, coaches, academic staff and University faculty.

One particularly outstanding Wildcat student-athlete achieving national recognition was Alyssa Bellinder who was awarded the coveted Elite 88 award for Division I cross country - essentially this award means that Alyssa is recognized as the top performing athlete/student in her entire sport factoring GPA and athletic achievement!

We are making tangible progress towards our vision of being a model intercollegiate athletics program and at the core of that progress is the unwavering support of Wildcat fans across the country.

As a reminder we still have $20 general admission tickets for tomorrow night's 7 p.m. men's basketball game in Bramlage while admission to Saturday's 7 p.m. volleyball finale (Senior Night) at Ahearn is just $7, so break out of the house and come cheer on the Cats!

If you are in the Dallas area on Saturday come support the Cats' efforts for a seventh football win in Denton as we take on North Texas at 3 p.m. You can watch the game via the internet on www.ESPN3.com - check with your local internet provider for details - or listen for free at www.k-statesports.com.

It is still important that fans pre-order bowl tickets as we inch closer to the end of the regular season. As a special reward for loyalty and recognition of the help that our K-State fans provide in this regard, beginning this year all fans ordering bowl tickets by November 30 will receive one "bonus" priority point for each ticket purchased for the bowl K-State attends. Visit www.k-statesports.com/bowlgame for more information.

Mary Lawrence, Jack, Virginia, Mary-Dell and I are especially thankful today for the opportunity to be in Manhattan and at Kansas State University. Enjoy your Thanksgiving turkey...... and Go Cats!
