Letter from A.D. John Currie - Welcome TCU!

TCU is a natural fit for our league, and the overall success the Horned Frogs have achieved both on the playing field and in the classroom will further enhance the national brand of our conference. TCU's Dallas/Fort Worth location, serviced by our three daily jet non-stop American Airlines flights from Manhattan into DFW, is an easy trip for our fans and student-athletes alike. Over 5,000 K-State alumni, the largest concentration outside the state of Kansas, call the Dallas/Fort Worth metroplex home, and it will be exciting for our student-athletes to have lots of Wildcat fans attending conference contests at TCU, while the families of our many student-athletes from Texas will be able to see their sons and daughters in action in person more often. Interim Commissioner Chuck Neinas and the Board of Directors, including the expansion committee chaired by President Schulz, are committed to being pro-active while making decisions that are in the best long-term interest of our league and institutions. President Schulz and I continue to be engaged and active in conversations with our peers in the conference and around the country and are very pleased with the steps being taken to achieve long term stability and prosperity for the Big 12. Thank you for all that you do for K-State Athletics! Please join us in welcoming TCU to the Big 12 family and continuing to show the "Purple Pride" that makes the Wildcat Nation so special. Go Cats! John
