National Anthem Auditions Set for Week of August 10

MANHATTAN, Kan. – K-State Athletics has announced it is holding auditions to sing the National Anthem at volleyball matches once again this season. Auditions will be held in Ahearn Field House during the week of August 10.

Interested singers can contact Carrie Ruvalcaba in Fan Experience and Sales via email at or phone at 785-532-7764 by noon on Thursday, August 6 to reserve a time for an audition. If a singer is unable to schedule an audition, they can email an audition video to Ruvalcaba. K-State volleyball matches are the only opportunity for local singers to perform the National Anthem for a K-State athletic event. The 2015 K-State volleyball home schedule includes 11 matches, providing a number of opportunities for multiple singers to showcase their talent by honoring our country.

The home portion of K-State’s season starts on Friday, September 4 with a 12 p.m. match against Green Bay that also kicks off the Varney’s Invitational. The Wildcats’ season opener is Friday, August 28 against Florida A&M in the Hurricane Invitational hosted by Miami.
