Pack the Field House on Tap for Saturday

MANHATTAN, Kan. – The K-State volleyball team will open its Big 12 home schedule this Saturday against Baylor at 7 p.m. with all tickets being $1 for the annual Pack the Field House promotion.

In addition to $1 tickets, hot dogs will also be just $1 (while supplies last) for the contest in Ahearn Field House. Tickets can be purchased in advance by clicking here, calling 1-800-221-CATS (2287) or visiting the K-State Athletics Ticket Office in Bramlage Coliseum. Tickets are also available on the day of the match at the Ahearn Field House ticket window, which opens one hour before first serve.

Last year, K-State drew nearly 4,000 fans for Pack the Field House, which finished as the 13th-largest crowd in program history (3,927). 

Pack the Field House is just one of several promotions during the match. This Saturday is also Military Appreciation Night, where all military personnel in attendance will be recognized and thanked for their service at the match. 
 
The first 100 Kansas State students will receive a free Purple Pit shirt, and all students are invited to a pre-match tailgate with free food from local vendors. Admission is free for K-State students with their student I.D.
 
A pre-match season ticket holder appreciation event will be held inside the west gymnasium. The event features cookies and lemonade, as well as an opportunity for all season ticket holders to test their skills on the practice volleyball courts. Check-in for the event will be located on the far west side of Ahearn Field House near the entrance to the west gyms, and will begin at 6 p.m. when doors open.

The Wildcats finished out their non-conference schedule with an 8-4 record, marking the fifth straight year they enter Big 12 play with eight or more wins. K-State opens up its overall conference slate on Wednesday at KU with a 6:30 p.m. Sunflower Showdown matchup.
