Rovelto Honored by WESP

MANHATTAN, Kan. - Kansas State track and field coach Cliff Rovelto has been helping student-athletes become better athletes for more than 20 years. On Thursday evening he was recognized for his commitment to making student-athletes better students and people.

Rovelto was honored by the Women in Engineering & Science Program at the sixth annual WESP Making a Difference Awards Celebration at the K-State Alumni Center. He was nominated by Thomaida Polydorou for making a difference during her time at K-State.

Polydorou finished her time on the track and field team in 2008 competing in the triple jump for the Wildcats. She was named to the USTFCCCA All-Academic Team in 2007 and 2008 as well as Academic All-Big 12. Polydorou is sixth in school history in the outdoor triple jump and 10th indoor. She also competed in the 2009 World University Games.
