Groves, Sellers Earn Academic All-America

MANHATTAN, Kan. Two Kansas State seniors closed their careers as All-Americans not only on the field, but in the classroom as well. Loren Groves and Scott Sellers have been named to the ESPN the Magazine/CoSIDA Academic All-America Track and Field Team.

Sellers earned first team honors for the second straight year with a 3.63 GPA in finance. He closed his career at K-State with two national championships this season winning both high jump titles at the indoor and outdoor NCAA Championship.

Groves received second team honors after graduating with her degree in education with a 3.76 GPA. This is her first Academic All-America award from ESPN/CoSIDA. Groves finished seventh at this year’s outdoor national championship in the women’s hammer throw to add to her list of accomplishments at K-State.
