HIGH JUMP

Kansas State University - Ahearn Field House

Manhattan, Kansas

This clinic is open to all coaches and athletes (ages 13 and up).  The emphasis is on education, but there will be an opportunity for the athletes to participate in drills and actual jumping activities if they wish.

The cost is $75.00 per individual.

Kansas State University Head Coach, Cliff Rovelto, will be conducting the clinic.

Coach Rovelto has been at KSU for 21 years and is world renown as a jumps coach. Also helping at the clinic will be current KSU track athletes, as well as, some of Coach Rovelto's post collegiate athletes.

 

9:00 - 9:30 AM          Check-in, Ahearn Field house, KSU campus

9:30 - 9:45                  Introduction

9:45 - 11:00                High Jump Warmup Routine, Running Mechanics, Discussion and Demonstration

11:00 - 12:00              High Jump Drills

12:00 - 1:00 PM        Lunch on Own

1:00 - 2:00                  Approach Building

2:15 - 3:15                  Jump Session

   Since 1989, KSU athletes have earned 40 NCAA All-America Certificates in the high jump and won 22 individual Conference Championships.

Camp Info:

High jumpers attending are asked to bring whatever shoes they use for the high jump, as well as, training flats.
