K-State Director of Track and Field and Cross Country Cliff Rovelto has long been considered one of the top coaches in the world when it comes to high jumping by his peers and the longtime Wildcat coach is offering a coaching clinic on the event in January.

Cliff Rovelto’s High Jump Coaching Clinic is set for January 12 with a registration deadline of January 9. Cost of the coaching clinic is $120 per individual and runs from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m.

This year’s high jump coaching clinic will offer sessions with material ranging from technique and training to strength and power development for the high jump. Rovelto will conduct the clinic while current Wildcats and post-collegiate athletes training with Rovelto will assist.

Since 1996, Rovelto has served as the personal coach for eight of the potential 15 men’s Olympic Team positions for Team USA with at least one member on each of the five teams. Six of his eight athletes made the Olympic final and two have won silver medals.

Seven NCAA champions have come from Rovelto’s coaching at K-State along with 10 runner-up finishes and five third-place finishers.
