MANHATTAN, Kan. – Kansas State track and field coach Cliff Rovelto announced the addition of Kasey Hill to his staff as an assistant coach. Hill joins the staff full-time after coming to Manhattan last season on a volunteer basis and to train with Rovelto professionally.

Hill brings with her to the staff a strong resume of success in competition graduating from Boston College in 2007 with a degree in marketing and operations management and competing for the Golden Eagles in the pentathlon and heptathlon.

“We are pleased that Kasey will be joining our staff at Kansas State,” Rovelto said. “Kasey was an All-American heptathlete at Boston College and has represented the USA in international competition.  Her experiences will prove beneficial to our young student-athletes.”

Hill is expected to work with the sprints, jumps and combined event student-athletes as well as administrative tasks within the program.

“I am very excited to be a part of the Kansas State coaching staff,” Hill said. “Having spent the past year training under coach Rovelto, the track and field program here is something I've come to truly believe in. I'm looking forward to having the opportunity to contribute to the program.”

During her collegiate career at Boston College, Hill finished eighth at the 2007 NCAA Indoor Championship in the pentathlon to earn All-America honors. She also finished fourth during her senior year at the NCAA Outdoor Championship in the heptathlon. Professionally, Hill has represented Team USA in a number of meets, including the 2010 Thorpe Cup where she finished sixth to help Team USA defeat Germany in a combined events competition. At the 2010 USATF Championships this summer she claimed fourth.

Hill and the Wildcats have begun preparation for the 2010-11 season and open competition with the annual Carol Robinson Winter Pentathlon and KSU All-Comers on December 10-11 at Ahearn Field House.
