MANHATTAN, Kan. - In recognition of the program's first conference title in 80 years and with the 2014 Opening Day closing in, the K-State baseball team will be honored during the women's basketball "Pack the House" game on Saturday, January 18 in Bramlage Coliseum. The 2014 Wildcats will take center court for the ceremony during the first half of the 7 pm game against Iowa State. The team will also sign autographs before the game from 6-7 pm along the concourse outside of the Legends Room.

Nineteen returning letterwinners, including preseason All-Americans Ross Kivett and Jake Matthys, will join two redshirts and 13 newcomers to make up the 2014 squad. The list of returnees also includes All-Big 12 selections Shane Conlon, Blair DeBord and Austin Fisher as well as All-Big 12 Freshman honoree Levi MaVorhis. The Wildcats have already received their highest preseason ranking ever when Collegiate Baseball placed K-State at No. 28 on the publication's annual preseason Fabulous 40 released in December.

The Wildcats, led by 11th-year head coach Brad Hill, start their 2014 campaign on February 14 at Cal Poly, opening an eight-game California road trip. The first home game for the Wildcats at Tointon Family Stadium will be on Friday, February 28 at 3 pm against Milwaukee. The matchup against the Panthers will be the first of 28 scheduled home games for the Wildcats in 2014.
