K-State Finalizes 2010 Baseball Schedule

MANHATTAN, Kan. - Kansas State received times for its five games at the Russmatt Central Florida Invitational, which finalizes the 2010 schedule.

The Central Florida Invitational, held at Chain of Lakes Park in Winter Haven, Fla., will be played Saturday, February 27 through Wednesday, March 3.

The tournament starts with the Wildcats taking on teams from the Northeast the first three days. The Cats draw Duquesne on Saturday at 5 p.m. (CT) before facing Northeastern on Sunday, Feb. 28, at 4 p.m. (CT) and St. Bonaventure at 2 p.m. (CT) on Monday, March 1.

The event continues on Tuesday, March 2, as the Wildcats play Western Michigan at 9:30 a.m. (CT) before concluding the tournament against Villanova on Wednesday, March 3, at 10 a.m. (CT).

Kansas State, which returns 16 letterwinners from its historic 2009 run that ended in the program's first-ever NCAA Regional, opens the 2010 season on Friday, Feb. 20, at The Citadel Shootout against Delaware.

The Wildcats' open their home slate on Friday, March 12, with a four-game series against NCAA Regional participate Kent State.
