Friday's Baseball Game Time Changed

MYRTLE BEACH, S.C. – Due to showers in the Myrtle Beach/Conway area, first pitch for Kansas State’s baseball game against Western Kentucky that was originally scheduled for Friday afternoon has been pushed back to Friday evening.

The game, which was scheduled for a 1 p.m. (CT) first pitch, will now begin at 6:30 p.m. (CT). The contest will still be played at Watson Stadium in Conway, S.C., but will now be the second game of a doubleheader at the stadium as the Pacific vs. North Carolina State game was moved from BB&T Coastal Field in Myrtle Beach to Watson Stadium beginning at 4 p.m. (CT).

Kansas State began the Baseball at the Beach tournament with a 5-4 upset victory over No. 17 Coastal Carolina Thursday afternoon at BB&T Coastal Field. With the victory, the Wildcats are 4-0 to start a season for the first time since 1996.

Following Friday’s game against Western Kentucky, the Wildcats are scheduled to take on Pacific Saturday afternoon at 12:30 p.m. (CT) at Watson Stadium before returning to BB&T Coastal Field to face No. 17 California on Sunday at 10 a.m. (CT).

Friday's game can be heard in the Manhattan area on SportsRadio 1350 KMAN and online at and Sunday's game can also be heard in its entirety on all three outlets, while Saturday's contest vs. Pacific will begin online and joined-in-progress on KMAN following the men's basketball game against Missouri.
