Baseball Hosts "Meet Your Seat Night" Wednesday

Head Coach Brad Hill will be on hand to talk with fans

MANHATTAN, Kan. – Kansas State fans will have the opportunity to find the best available seats at Tointon Family Stadium on Wednesday as K-State baseball hosts “Meet Your Seat Night.”

The event, which runs from 5 p.m. to 7 p.m. on Wednesday evening, allows fans to find the best view of the field and pick out seats for the 2011 season, which starts this Friday with a 3 p.m., first pitch against Western Illinois.

Head coach Brad Hill and selected players will be available to chat with fans about the 2011 season and help fans pick out available seats with the best sight-lines to the field.

The 31-game home schedule includes a stretch of seven-straight games against teams that advanced to the NCAA Tournament a year ago and nine of the final 12 regular season games inside the friendly confines of Tointon Family Stadium.

Season tickets for the 2011 home season are still available through the K-State Athletics Ticket office. Three different season-ticket packages are available, includes reserved chairback seating of just $100 per ticket when you purchase four or more seats. Fans can purchase season and single-game tickets online at, at the K-State Athletics Ticket office inside Bramlage Coliseum or by phone at (800) 221-CATS.

Following Friday’s contest, the Wildcats and Leathernecks will meet in a 1 p.m., doubleheader on Saturday before the series concludes on Sunday at 1 p.m. A webcast of all four games will be available through K-State’s multimedia channel, K-State All-Access at Audio of all four games is also available for free at and, while SportsRadio 1350 KMAN will have coverage throughout the weekend.
