Summer Camp Dates Announced for June-August

MANHATTAN, Kan. -- K-State baseball head coach Brad Hill has announced several camp dates for this summer, including two Junior Wildcat Camps and two High School Select Camps.

The pair of Junior Wildcat Camps will take place in June at Tointon Family Stadium, with the camp for ages 6-9 held from June 15-17 and the Team Camp for ages 10-13 occurring from June 22-24. These camps offer specialized instruction by the K-State coaching staff in the areas of pitching, throwing, defensive fundamentals, hitting mechanics, bunting and base running. The Team Camp will offer the same tutoring as the Junior Wildcat Camp; however, in the afternoon sessions, participants will play live games while learning game situations.

For the Junior Wildcat Camps, all Kansas State University and K-State Athletics employees are eligible for a $15 discount per child for each camp. To receive the discount, parents must contact Blake Kangas at bkangas@kstatesports.com. The discount is not available through online registration.

There is also a team discount for the Junior Wildcat Camps. A group of six or more from the same team can receive a $10 discount off the total registration fee for each team member. The discount is not available through online registration.

The Junior Wildcat Camp from June 15-17 costs $110 per camper while the Junior Wildcat Team Camp from June 22-24 is $150 per camper. Each camp is limited to the first 80 campers.

The High School Select Camps, for ages 15-18, will be held on July 27-28 and August 3-4 at Tointon Family Stadium. The campers will be instructed and evaluated by the K-State coaching staff and other college baseball coaches from the area in live games and game-like situations. In addition to the player evaluations, campers will also take part in special sessions with K-State baseball's strength coach Tyler Looney, athletic trainer Blaine Burris and academic counselor Jamie Hamor.

For the Select Camps, registration is $210 for a commuter camper while it is $240 for a resident camper. Commuter registration includes dinner on day one, lunch on day two and an evaluation. Resident camper registration includes a dorm room for overnight stay, dinner on day one, breakfast and lunch on day two, and an evaluation. Residents must check in at Haymaker Hall at 1 p.m. on the first day of camp before arriving at Tointon Family Stadium.
