After splitting its pair of midweek games this past week, K-State returns to Big 12 action with a three-game series against No. 3 TCU at Tointon Family Stadium from April 10-12 ... The Wildcats are 2-3 in their last 5 games, picking up wins against West Virginia on April 2 and Omaha on April 8 ... Despite winning the series opener against the Mountaineers, the Wildcats lost the conference series and have lost each of their 3 Big 12 series this season ... TCU arrives in Manhattan on a three-game winning streak and winners in 4 of its last 6 contests ... The Horned Frogs enter the weekend tied for second in the Big 12 standings while K-State is in eighth ... This will mark the first meeting between K-State and TCU in Manhattan since April 26-28, 2013.

LAST TIME OUT
In K-State's first midweek contest, the Wildcats fought back from a pair of 3-run deficits to force the game beyond regulation against Nebraska, but in the top of the 10th, a two-out RBI single drove in the winning run for the Huskers in a 5-4 decision ... K-State scored 3 runs in the sixth inning to tie the game at 4-4 and had the go-ahead run in scoring position in the eighth and ninth innings ... Wildcat relievers Jordan Floyd and Jackson Douglas combined to throw 5 2/3 scoreless innings in middle relief to help K-State stay in the game ... The Wildcats bounced back from the home loss by winning their next game on the next day, beating Omaha, 10-2, at Werner Park in Papillion, Nebraska ... K-State had 12 hits, with three apiece from Max Brown and Steve Serratore, while Tyler Wolfe drove in a career-high 3 runs ... K-State built a 2-0 lead with a run in the fourth and fifth innings, but in the bottom of the fifth, K-State reliever Brandon Erickson issued back-to-back walks and a hit by pitch to help Omaha even the game at 2-2 ... Wolfe drove in Carter Yagi with a two-out single in the seventh, but in the eighth, K-State scored 6 runs to provide breathing room.

PROVIDING RELIEF
Over the last 5 games, the K-State bullpen has posted a 1.35 ERA (4er, 26.2ip) and held opponents to a .217 batting average against ... Of the 8 different Wildcat relievers to log an inning over the last 5 games, 5 have not surrendered a run ... 4 different relievers have not allowed a run in at least 3.0 innings over the stretch, including Corey Fischer (3.2), Levi MaVorhis (3.0), Jackson Douglas (3.0) and Lucas Benenati (3.0) ... Douglas, a freshman left-hander, has yet to be charged with a run in 4 Big 12 games (2 1/3 innings) ... Max Brown, who tied for the team lead with 3 hits on Wednesday at Omaha, enters the TCU series batting .352 (19-for-54) with 4 doubles, 3 triples, 12 RBIs and 3 stolen bases over his last 16 games ... Brown is in the midst of a 5-game hitting streak, which matches his career-high ... Over his last 5 games, the senior has 7 hits, including 4 extra-base hits ... Brown, who is hitting .286 (8-for-28) in Big 12 play this season, leads the team with 5 RBIs in conference games ... In overall games, Brown is tied with Tyler Moore with a career-high 19 RBIs ...
