DUE UP
Following its first ever series win at Baylor, K-State will end its six-game road swing with a two-game series at Minnesota from April 28-28 at Siebert Field ... The Wildcats won the final 2 games of the Baylor series to earn their second Big 12 series win of the season ... K-State is 2-2 during its current road stretch and 5-10 on the road for the entire season ... Minnesota, meanwhile, is coming off a series loss to Big Ten foe, Michigan, at home this past weekend ... The Golden Gophers won the series opener against the Wolverines to stretch their winning streak to 6 games, but they dropped the last 2 to lose their fifth conference series of the season ... K-State and Minnesota have not met since 2013 in Manhattan.

LAST TIME OUT
Despite losing the first game of the series in a suspended contest finished on Saturday, the Wildcats bounced back to win the final 2 contests of the series at Baylor to improve to 7-11 in Big 12 play ... The series win was K-State's first in a Big 12 road set since May 2013 ... The Wildcats fell behind, 3-0, in the series opener on Friday before scoring their first run in the sixth to trim the disadvantage to 2 runs on an RBI double by Steve Serratore ... The Wildcats were able to put the first 2 batters on in the seventh before lightning and heavy rain suspended the game until Saturday afternoon ... K-State managed to load the bases in the seventh, but came away scoreless before eventually falling 4-1 ... In game 2, K-State scored the first run in the third with an RBI fielder's choice by Shane Conlon and then, after Baylor tied it up in the bottom of the third, scored a run in the fourth and sixth with RBIs by Tyler Moore and Sam Chadick, respectively ... Tied at 3-3, Danny Krause delivered a two-out RBI single in the eighth to drive in the eventual game-winning run of 5-3 decision ... In game 3, Bryce Ward turned in 6 1/3 innings out of the bullpen, allowing one run, while the offense scored 5 unanswered runs over the eighth and ninth innings to complete a 6-3 comeback win.

NEWCOMER OF THE WEEK
After hitting over .400 and leading the Wildcats with 5 RBIs, freshman Sam Chadick was named the Big 12 Co-Newcomer of the Week for the period ending April 26 ... It was the fourth time a Wildcat earned a weekly award this season and third of the newcomer variety ... Chadick was 7-for-16 (.438) with five RBIs in 4 games, his first career starts ... In his first start of the week on April 21 at Nebraska, Chadick drove in 2 runs - his first career multi-RBI game ... Chadick had a two-hit effort in each of the 3 games at Baylor to help the Wildcats capture their first ever series win in Waco ... Chadick had appeared in his first 16 games this season off the bench, going 2-for-4 with 8 runs scored.

AGAINST NON-CON
Starting with Tuesday's series opener at Minnesota, the Wildcats will play 6 straight non-conference games ... It is the first time K-State will have played 6 or more consecutive games against non-conference opponents this late in a regular season since 2001 ...
