Cinco de Mayo T-Shirts Available Saturday

K-State takes on its final non-conference team of the season

MANHATTAN, Kan. – The first 250 fans into Tointon Family Stadium on Saturday when Kansas State takes on Nebraska Omaha will receive a free “Béisbol de los Gatos” t-shirt, courtesy of Kansas State Athletics.

The t-shirt, which means “Wildcat Baseball,” is in celebration of the Cinco de Mayo holiday. First pitch on Saturday is set for 2 p.m., as the Wildcats take on their final non-conference opponent of the season. Additionally, a pregame tailgate precedes both Friday’s and Saturday’s contests against the Mavericks, beginning 90 minutes prior to first pitch. The tailgate, which includes various food and beverage options, is held directly behind the stadium off College Avenue.

Tickets to Saturday’s game, or any of the other five remaining home games, are available through the K-State Athletics Ticket office online at, by phone at 1-800-221-CATS, or inside the main ticket office at Bramlage Coliseum. Tickets may also be purchased at the Tointon Family Stadium box office prior to the game.

The series against the Mavericks begins on Friday with a 6:30 p.m., first pitch and will conclude Sunday at 1 p.m. Next weekend, May 11-13, K-State will host Kansas in the Dillon’s Sunflower Showdown. All three games against the Jayhawks will begin at 6:30 p.m.
