Hutt Named to Big 12 All-Championship Team

OKLAHOMA CITY, Okla. Kansas State pitcher Brad Hutt was honored by the Big 12 Conference as he was named to the Big 12 Conference All-Championship team after his performance against Nebraska in the tournament.

Hutt (9-4) was magnificent on the mound, which included a string of 13 straight Huskers retired until a throwing error on Nate Tenbrink in the sixth. The junior scattered three hits and allowed just one unearned run in 8.0 innings. The Papillion, Neb., native tied four other past Wildcat pitchers for the school record in wins, most recently Dan Driskill, who had nine wins back in 1992.

Hutt and the Wildcats finished the 2007 season with a 34-24 record, which was one win shy of tying the school record set back in 1976, and went 1-2 in their first Big 12 Tournament appearance under head coach Brad Hill.
