K-State Day at The K Set for Sunday

MANHATTAN, Kan. – Kansas State head baseball coach Brad Hill will throw out the first pitch at Kauffman Stadium on Sunday, August 21, as the Kansas City Royals host the Boston Red Sox on K-State Day at The K presented by FOX Sports Kansas City.

Fans will be able to pick up season ticket information for the football and men’s and women’s basketball home seasons at the game, which is set for a 1:10 p.m., first pitch. Additionally, the first 700 Wildcat fans who bring their K-State Day discounted ticket to the K-State table located just inside Gate B directly to the right of the spiral ramp will receive a limited edition white and royal purple KC Royals K-State hat.

K-State fans can also take advantage of a special reserved tailgating spot in Lot N. The gates to Kauffman Stadium open at 11:30 a.m., and fans can also meet the K-State cheer squad and Willie the Wildcat at the K-State table located under the Diamond Club.

Hill, the 2009 Big 12 Coach of the Year, has guided the Wildcats to three-straight NCAA Regional bids, the first three in school history. He has also tutored K-State players to 30 All-Big 12 selections, 40 Academic All-Big 12 distinctions and 34 MLB Draft picks since his first season in 2004.

Kansas State football season tickets are currently on sale, starting as low at $210 for the seven-game home schedule that includes matchups against Eastern Kentucky, Kent State, Baylor, Missouri, Oklahoma, Texas A&M and Iowa State. The third annual K-State Family Reunion is scheduled for a 6:10 p.m., kickoff against Eastern Kentucky on September 3. Single-game tickets for the contest against the Colonels begin at $20, while a four-pack of tickets are available for $75.
