MANHATTAN, Kan. - This week serves as the final look at current and former Wildcats in collegiate summer leagues and in the professional ranks. To follow the progress of former K-State players in the pros for the remainder of their respective seasons, click here.

Orleans Firebirds
Cape Cod League All-Star Ross Kivett and first baseman Shane Conlon finished their season with the Orleans Firebirds as the league runner-up after being swept in a three-game series by Cotuit... Kivett went 1-for-7 with a pair of walks and a RBI in the series, while Conlon was 3-for-7 with a double and two runs scored... Kivett finished the regular season fourth in the league with a .366 batting average, while he had 10 doubles, three home runs and 17 RBI... Conlon, who joined Orleans in late July, went 13-for-56 (.232) in his 16 games (including the playoffs) with two doubles and a RBI.

K-State Pros
Carlos Torres (MLB: New York NL): A right-handed pitcher for the New York Mets, Torres made four appearances out of the bullpen last week... A 15th-round pick by the Chicago White Sox in 2004, Torres allowed an earned run in two innings Monday at the Dodgers before tallying consecutive no-hit outings on Wednesday (two innings) and at San Diego on Friday... He did allow three runs on four hits against the Padres on Saturday... In 22 appearances, including three starts, Torres is 2-2 with a 3.00 ERA, surrendering 15 earned runs on 45 hits with just seven walks and 34 strikeouts in 45 innings... The Mets are in third place in the National League East Division at 56-66... Torres began 2013 pitching for Triple A Las Vegas, accumulating a 6-3 record with a 3.89 ERA in 12 starts before being called up.

Jared Goedert (Triple A: Indianapolis/Pittsburgh): Goedert, a free agent signee by Pittsburgh during the offseason, had five hits in five games last week for Triple A Indianapolis... The infielder went 2-for-4 with a double Friday at Columbus, singled and scored twice Saturday at Syracuse and came back with another two-hit game with a RBI Sunday against the Chiefs... Goedert is hitting .234 in 116 games with 26 doubles, two triples, 10 home runs and 57 RBI... Indianapolis holds a 10-game lead in the International League West Division with a 73-57 record.

Carter Jurica (Triple A: Fresno/San Francisco): Jurica, a third-round pick by San Francisco in 2010, played in six games last week - including a pair of pinch-hit appearances - for Triple A Fresno... The shortstop drove in a run Monday at Omaha before recording a single, driving in a pair of runs and walking twice Thursday against the Storm Chasers... Jurica is hitting .247 in 97 games with 14 doubles, two triples, two home runs and 31 RBI... The Grizzlies are 61-67 this season.

Evan Marshall (Triple A: Reno/Arizona): A fourth-round selection by the Arizona Diamondbacks in 2011, Marshall had three quality relief outings last week for Triple A Reno... The right-hander worked around two walks and struck out a batter in one inning Monday against Nashville and allowed a run on three hits in 1.1 innings Thursday against the Sounds... He finished off his week Saturday at Fresno by pitching a scoreless inning with two strikeouts... In 49 relief appearances, Marshall is 3-6 with a 3.96 ERA and three saves, while he has issued 29 walks and struck out 54 batters in 52.1 innings... The Aces hold a 51-78 record.

Nate Tenbrink (Triple A: Tacoma/Seattle): A seventh-round draft pick in 2008 by Seattle, Tenbrink registered nine hits in seven games last week for Triple A Tacoma... The third baseman/outfielder tallied a pair of two-hit games and also had three hits, including a double and a home run, with two RBI Friday at Colorado Springs... In 111 games, Tenbrink is hitting .266 with 20 doubles, four triples, 13 homers and 53 RBI... The Rainers are in second place in the Pacific Northern Division of the Pacific Coast League with a 68-61 record.

Justin Bloxom (Double A: Harrisburg/Washington): Bloxom, a 2009 draft pick by Washington, had hits in four of his six games last week for Double A Harrisburg... The first baseman's best game was a 4-for-5 outing with a double and a RBI Wednesday at Trenton, while he hit a RBI double Thursday and closed his week with a two-hit game Sunday against Portland... In 117 games, Bloxom is hitting .247 with 22 doubles, one triple, seven homers and 61 RBI... The Senators are a half game back of Erie in the Eastern League Western Division with a 67-60 record.

Kyle Hunter (Double A: Jackson/Seattle): A 31st-round draft pick of Seattle in 2011, Hunter made two appearances out of the bullpen last week for Double A Jackson... The left-hander earned the win Tuesday against Montgomery when he worked three scoreless innings with three strikeouts, while he tossed another scoreless frame with a fanned batter Saturday against the Biscuits... In 31 appearances with Jackson, including three starts, Hunter is 3-0 with a 1.05 ERA, walking 12 and striking out 37 in 51.2 innings... The Generals hold an even 26-26 record during the second half... Prior to his time in Jackson, Hunter went 1-1 with a 3.65 ERA in eight outings for High Desert.

A.J. Morris (Double A: Tennessee/Chicago NL): Morris, a 2009 draft choice by Washington, earned a win in his only outing last week for Double A Tennessee... The right-hander worked 1.1 no-hit innings Thursday against Chattanooga with a walk and a strikeout... In 26 games, including 10 starts, Morris is 4-2 with a 5.18 ERA while surrendering 34 walks and striking out 50 over 66 innings... The Smokies lead the Southern Division of the Southern League during the second half at 34-21.

James Allen (High A: Bakersfield/Cincinnati): A seventh-round selection by the Reds in 2011, Allen started two games last week for High A Bakersfield... The right-hander took a no decision Tuesday against Visalia after allowing two runs on three hits with six walks and five strikeouts in five innings... He also worked five innings Sunday at Modesto but suffered the loss after surrendering three runs on four hits with two walks and two strikeouts... In 26 starts, Allen is 8-10 with a 5.06 ERA in 133.1 innings with 55 walks and 80 strikeouts... The Blaze hold a 22-34 second-half record.

Wade Hinkle (Low A: Burlington/Los Angeles AL): Hinkle, a 27th-round selection last year by the Los Angeles Angels, saw time in three games last week for the Burlington Bees of the Midwest League... The first baseman singled and drove in a run Wednesday against Kane County before doubling and driving in two Friday against the Cougars... In 107 games, Hinkle is hitting .261 with 28 doubles, two triples, 12 home runs and 61 RBI... The Bees are 23-32 during the second half.

Jason King (Low A: West Michigan/Detroit): King, a fourth-round pick by Detroit in 2011, had hits in five of his six games last week for the West Michigan Whitecaps of the Midwest League... The third baseman drove in a run Monday against South Bend and also doubled on both Thursday and Friday against Lansing... In 72 games with the Whitecaps, King holds a .253 batting average with 11 doubles, two triples, seven homers and 32 RBI... West Michigan is 25-28 during the second half... King began the season playing for High A Lakeland in which he hit .135 with five doubles, three homers and 13 RBI in 42 games.

Dan Klein (Low A: Lansing/Toronto): A 28th-round pick by Toronto last year, Klein played in a pair of games last week for Low A Lansing of the Midwest League... The catcher hit a two-run homer Friday at West Michigan before singling and driving in a run Sunday against Lake County... Klein is hitting .306 (11-for-36) in 11 games for Lansing with four doubles, two home runs and seven RBI... The Lugnuts are 23-33 during the second half... Klein had played in 19 games for the Vancouver Canadians of the Class A Short-Season Northwest League prior to being promoted to Lansing, hitting .183 with a double, a triple, two homers and 11 RBI.

Nick Martini (Low A: Peoria/St. Louis): A seventh-round selection of St. Louis in 2011, Martini saw time in two games last week for the Peoria Chiefs, including a 2-for-4 effort with a double and a RBI Friday at Wisconsin... In 92 games, Martini is hitting .238 with 15 doubles, one triple and 28 RBI... Peoria is 27-28 during the second half.

Kayvon Bahramzadeh (Class A Short-Season: Vermont/Oakland): A 24th-round selection last year by Oakland, Bahramzadeh was solid in his only appearance last week for the Vermont Lake Monsters of the New York-Penn League... The right-hander tossed two scoreless innings with no walks and two strikeouts Saturday at Brooklyn... In seven appearances this season, Bahramzadeh is 1-1 with a 2.25 ERA... The Lake Monsters hold a 28-31 record.

Joe Flattery (Class A Short Season: Connecticut/Detroit): Flattery, a free agent signee by Detroit following the 2013 season, has not pitched since July 23 and continues to reside on the disabled list for the Connecticut Tigers of the Class A Short Season New York-Penn League... The left-hander holds a 1-0 record and a 2.53 ERA with two walks and eight strikeouts in three outings, including two starts, with the Tigers... Connecticut is 24-29 this season... Flattery pitched three times for the GCL Tigers, tossing four scoreless innings with a walk and seven strikeouts, prior to begin promoted.

Jared King (Class A Short Season: Brooklyn/New York NL): After not playing for 10 days, King, a fifth-round selection by the New York Mets in this year's draft, played in three games last week for the Brooklyn Cyclones of the Class A Short-Season New York-Penn League... The left fielder walked and recorded a RBI Friday at Vermont before going 3-for-3 with a RBI Sunday... In 45 games, King is hitting .268 with 13 doubles and 18 RBI... Brooklyn is a game back of Aberdeen in the McNamara Division with a 29-28 record.

Jake Brown (Rookie: Bristol/Chicago AL): A 30th-round selection last year by the Chicago White Sox, Brown saw time in three games last week for the Bristol White Sox of the Rookie Appalachian League, including a 2-for-4 performance with a RBI Thursday at Kingsport... In 21 games with the White Sox, Brown is hitting .192 (14-for-73) with three doubles and seven RBI... Bristol is 15-40 this season... In 21 games with the Kannapolis Intimidators, Brown is hitting .276 with four doubles, a triple and 12 RBI.
