Dates for Fall World Series Announced

MANHATTAN, Kan. The Kansas State baseball team will hold five intrasquad games over the next two weeks, giving fans an opportunity to preview the 2009 Wildcats, as dates and times of the 2008 K-State Fall World Series were announced Thursday by head coach Brad Hill.

The Fall World Series is the culmination of over a month’s worth of practice to prepare for the upcoming season, which begins Friday, Feb. 21, 2009, at Houston.

The series kicks off with a 3 p.m. contest on Sunday, October 26. The next four games, which all begin at 6 p.m., will be held Monday, October 27, Thursday, October 30, Friday, October 31, while the final game of the series is slated for Tuesday, November 4.

All five games are played at Tointon Family Stadium and open to the public.
