Head Coach Frank Martin
On the indefinite suspension of Jordan Henriquez...
"He is a fine young man.  He needs to refocus on the positive things that he has done here for two years.  He just needs a moment away so he can regain the vision that he had when he came here.  He is like me and everyone else at that age.  He is at a moment where he lost sense what is expected of him on a daily basis.  He just needs to regroup.  He and I will visit next week, make decisions and move forward from there."

On Oklahoma State's [Keaton] Page...
"Keaton Page is the heart of their team.  He might be the smallest player in the league, but he probably has the biggest heart.  He is a ferocious competitor.  I am not there every day, but I am told he is as good of leader as they have seen at Oklahoma State in years.  When you watch their team play, and you watch him, I think it is clear as day."

On Thomas Gipson...
"He got off his rear end.  He finally decided he can compete a little bit, and not drag around.  He competed and I was happy because we needed him to compete for us.  I was happy because we need him to do that for us; create that presence at the rim.  Coming down that stretch we threw it to him in there and he missed a couple shots, but I am ok with that because it is the energy and desire that it took to get the ball to the right place to create the presence at the rim that you have to have.  It was good to see him do that.  He grabbed five rebounds in the second half and I think that is something you have to have.  But here is a stat for you, Keaton Page has more defensive rebounds in Big 12 play than all the guys on our team except Rodney McGruder--he is a 5'8" point guard, and he has more defensive rebounds than our front guys.  Thomas has to do that.  He did that early in the year, and he has to get back to doing that."

On rebounding against Texas...
"On the defense side, it was embarrassing.  We are not doing a very good job on rebounding on the defensive side of the floor.  It all starts with our box outs.  You have to actually have to leave the ground to rebound most of the time, but we have guys just standing there."

On the atmosphere at Gallagher-Iba Arena...
"It is crazy.  That building is hard.  Last year, we were managing the game, and then we came apart at the seams.  I think we had four players foul out.  Jamar [Samuels] got a tech.  We were up eight, and we just came apart at the seams.  Two years before that, we went in there and it is the only time I went in there and told a team that we have to win the game.  Once again, we turn it over on back-to-back possessions, and we cannot finish them off.  That building is hard.  The crowd is off the charts and they feed off of that.  They have great players and Travis [Ford] does a heck of a job with their team."

Freshman forward Thomas Gipson
On his first experiences playing in Big 12 games...
"A little bit. I have been in a slump lately.  My family told me to stay positive, to stay with God, and eventually it will come out.  Yesterday, I played a pretty good game, but that is just how it is."

On teammates being relaxed for Oklahoma State...
"I talked to the captains, I talked to Rodney [McGruder], I talked to Victor [Ojeleye], I talked to my mom.  They all said the same thing; you are fine.  I am a freshman, so it happens.  Jamar [Samuels] said it happened to him his freshman year, and then he had a breakout game and his confidence went up and he progressed from there."

On the suspension of Jordan Henriquez...
"Every post has to step it up.  We always have to step it up from the beginning, no matter what happens.  We must stay positive and stick together.  No matter what is going on, he is still a part of this team."
