Martin Faces Benefit Cancer Research

MANHATTAN, Kan. - In an effort to bring awareness to cancer research, the Kansas State Athletics Department will be selling faces of head men's basketball Frank Martin for $1 this week with the proceeds benefitting the American Cancer Society.

The $1 faces can be purchased in a variety of locations throughout Manhattan this week, including the K-State Athletics Ticket Office and Fan Experience Office as well as in the K-State Student Union from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m.  Fans may also purchase the faces tonight at the K-State/Baylor Watch Party inside the Wareham Theater on Poyntz Avenue as well as on Saturday during the College Gameday Show and prior to Saturday's game on the Bramlage Coliseum concourse.  Supplies are limited, so fans are encouraged to purchase early.

The effort kicks off Coaches vs. Cancer Suits and Sneakers awareness weekend, which runs from Friday, Jan. 29 through Sunday, Jan. 31.  Coach Martin and his staff will join college basketball coaches from the across the country in wearing sneakers with their sideline attire to raise cancer awareness.  The event is done in collaboration with the American Cancer Society and the National Association of Basketball Coaches (NABC).
