College GameDay Reminders

MANHATTAN, Kan. - As excitement builds for ESPN's College GameDay's appearance in Manhattan, the K-State Athletics Department has announced details to help Wildcat fans set a new attendance record for the show.

"Our fans have been a big part of our success this basketball season and we are looking forward to hosting ESPN and College GameDay on January 30," said head coach Frank Martin. "We are excited to show the rest of the country the passion and enthusiasm of Wildcat Nation."

The east parking lot of Bramlage Coliseum will open at 6 a.m. on January 30 and all parking for the event will be free. The Northeast and Southeast entrances to the arena will open at 8 a.m. All seating is general admission.

Fans will be allowed to bring posters and hand-held signs into the arena but they will be checked for appropriateness.

All fans are encouraged to arrive to the arena early for promotional giveaways including rollbannas and College GameDay t-shirts. One lucky student will also be chosen by ESPN and State Farm for a chance to win $17,500 cash by making a half-court shot, while two tickets to the 6 p.m. clash between K-State and KU will also be given away at the event.

The program, hosted by Rece Davis, Hubert Davis, Digger Phelps and Jay Bilas, is free to the public and will air live from 10-11 a.m. CT on ESPN. Last week at Clemson, a record crowd of 6,700 fans were in attendance for College GameDay prior to the Tigers' matchup with Duke.
