K-State Acquires Additional NCAA Tickets

MANHATTAN, Kan. Kansas State has acquired approximately 200 additional tickets for Thursday’s NCAA First Round evening session in Omaha featuring the Wildcats and USC, athletics officials announced Tuesday.

The tickets are $53 each and are available at the athletics ticket office in Bramlage Coliseum or by calling 1-800-221-CATS or 532-7606 locally. Tickets may be picked up at the K-State will call window at the Qwest Center in Omaha beginning at 2 p.m., Thursday.

K-State officials emphasized that these additional tickets are good only for Thursday’s evening session. The Kansas State-USC game tips off at 6:10 p.m., followed by Wisconsin-Cal State Fullerton.

Kansas State quickly sold its initial team allotment of 550 tickets after earning its first NCAA tournament bid since 1996. Tickets for the First and Second Rounds at the Qwest Center in Omaha are sold out. Each of the participating teams had the opportunity to purchase 550 tickets for the session in which they play. K-State was able to secure the additional tickets from participating teams that did not take their full allotment.

The K-State Alumni Association announced Tuesday that the official headquarters for K-State fans in Omaha will be the “inPlay” grill and bar, 1502 Cummings Street, near the Qwest Center. A pregame party will begin at 3 p.m., Thursday prior to the game.  For additional information, go to www.k-state.com.
