Game Time Set for K-State/BYU

OKLAHOMA CITY, Okla. - No. 7/7 Kansas State (27-7) will play No. 17/16 BYU (30-5) in the second game of the NCAA West Regional Second Round at approximately 7:10 p.m. CT on Saturday night at the Ford Center.

The contest will follow 30 minutes after the conclusion of the first game between the winner of No. 1 seed Kansas and No. 16 Lehigh and No. 9 Northern Iowa, which is set for 4:40 p.m. CT.

Earlier today, No. 2 seed K-State extended its school-record season for wins with its 27th in an 82-62 win over 15-seed North Texas, while No. 7 seed BYU used two overtimes to post a 99-92 victory over No. 10 seed Florida.   

This will mark the first meeting between K-State and BYU since 2002 with the all-series tied at 3-all.  The teams have met once before in the NCAA Tournament with the Wildcats earning a 64-54 win in the semifinals of the West Regional on March 23, 1951 en route to advancing to the school's second Final Four appearance.  The Cougars won the last meeting in the series, 73-64, at the Paradise Jam in the Virgin Islands on Nov. 23, 2002.
