Hoops Team To Be Honored at Baseball Game

MANHATTAN, Kan. - The Kansas State men's basketball team will be honored for its record-breaking season before Friday's home baseball game with Nebraska set for 6:30 p.m.

The squad will be recognized in a pre-game ceremony, while reigning Big 12 Coach of the Year Frank Martin will throw out the first pitch.     

Tickets are available for $7 for adults and $4 for senior citizens and children 18 and under by calling the K-State Athletic Ticket Office at (800) 221.CATS or online at www.k-statesports.com.   Gates to the park open at 5:30 p.m. and fans are encouraged to visit the pre-game tailgate behind the left field fence, which begins at 5 p.m. 

The Wildcats, which set 22 team and individual school records in 2009-10, finished the season with a school-record 29 wins and advanced to the Elite Eight for the first time in more than 20 years.
