MANHATTAN, Kan. - In the midst of one of the most successful periods in Kansas State men's basketball history with a school-record five consecutive NCAA Tournament appearances, the athletics department announced today official ticket information for the 2014-15 season.
K-State will play 17 games in Bramlage Coliseum in 2014-15 with the season opener set for Friday, November 14 against Southern Utah and includes tilts with UMKC, Nebraska-Omaha, Bradley, Savannah State, Texas Southern and Georgia. In addition to its eight non-conference games, the Wildcats will again face an 18-game, round-robin Big 12 Conference schedule with visits from seven NCAA Tournament teams, including Baylor, Iowa State, Kansas, Oklahoma, Oklahoma State and Texas, and NIT participant West Virginia.
The department also announced ticket information for its contest with former Big 12 foe Texas A&M in the Wildcat Classic at the Sprint Center in Kansas City on Saturday, December 20.
A variety of season ticket packages, including the new Wildcat 4-Pack, are available. The Wildcat 4-Pack includes four bench season tickets for $900, which is just $14 per game with a savings of almost $500. The Wildcat Victory Ticket Plan, available in limited quantities, is in its second year and includes all non-conference and all-midweek conference games (excluding Big Monday and the Kansas games) in general admission seating (sections 24-25) for only $129.
In addition to its usual ticket offerings, there are also a limited number of Young Alumni packages, which are available for all K-State undergraduate degree recipients in the past five years (December 2009 to May 2014). These ticket packages are $200 and just $100 for those with Young Alumni football season tickets. Young Alumni can purchase up to two season tickets at the discounted rate.
Prices for all other season ticket options remain the same for the fourth consecutive season.
An Ahearn Fund contribution is required for all premium, chairback and cushioned seating. Specific required giving levels by section are listed at www.AhearnFund.com.
Season tickets will be available online at www.kstatesports.com/tickets starting Monday, June 23. Current season-ticket holders should receive their renewal information in the mail the week of June 30 and have until Friday, August 1 to arrange payment and retain their seats for the 2014-15 season. New ticket holders are also encouraged to purchase season tickets prior to the August 1 deadline. New full season-ticket requests will be handled utilizing the K-State Priority Points system which rewards fans for their history of season ticket purchases and contributions to the Ahearn Fund. All requests are based on seat availability and specific locations are not guaranteed.
There are incentives for fans purchasing season tickets on the first day of sales on Monday, June 23 as well as before the Friday, July 11 early-bird deadline.
Fans purchasing season tickets on June 23 will receive a limited edition Marcus Foster mini-poster (one per season ticket ordered) and will be enrolled in a prize drawing, which includes the opportunity to win a life-size cutout of Thomas Gipson. Other possible prizes for those buying on the first day include two courtside seats for a home non-conference game of their choosing, two tickets to the Wildcat Classic against Texas A&M at the Sprint Center and a 2014-15 poster autographed by the team.
Fans who purchase season tickets prior to July 11 will receive an exclusive invitation to a movie night on the new videoboard in Bramlage Coliseum as well as several discounts. Early-bird renewals will receive a $10 discount off the season processing fee and additional $15 savings off the fee when paying in full online by e-check. Fans will also receive a code (one-time only use) for 10 percent off at the K-State Online Team Store and will be enrolled in a prize drawing that includes a Loge Box party and a 2014-15 autographed basketball.
Payment plans for season-ticket purchases by credit card are available, including a six-month payment option for fans purchasing tickets by July 11 and a five-month payment plan for those purchasing by August 1. Credit card payment plans can be coordinated through the online renewal applications at www.kstatesports.com, or by calling the Athletics Ticket Office for both renewal and new ticket accounts.
Season ticket holders and Ahearn Fund members will have the opportunity to pre-order priority seating for the December 20 contest with Texas A&M at the Sprint Center in Kansas City. All orders for the Wildcat Classic at the Sprint Center made through at the Athletics Ticket Office prior to the August 1 season ticket renewal deadline will be seated in order of athletics department priority points.
Tickets for the Wildcat Classic are priced at $200 for courtside, $65 for lower-level sides, $30 for lower-level ends and corners, $20 for upper-level sides and $10 for upper-level ends. Season ticket holders who order tickets by August 1 can receive lower-level side tickets for $55, lower-level ends and corners for $20 and upper-level sides for $15.
Groups of 12 or more can purchase lower-level ends and corners for $20 each, upper-level sides for $12 and upper-level ends for $7. Tickets go on sale to the public Monday, September 15.
Kansas State continues to possess one of the top home atmospheres in the country as the Wildcats played in front of an average of more than 12,000 fans for four consecutive seasons at Bramlage Coliseum. The school has won more than 75 percent of its games in Bramlage Coliseum's 26-year history, including a 115-19 (.858) record over the past eight seasons at home and a 64-3 (.955) mark in non-conference play.
K-State is coming off yet another successful campaign in 2013-14, as the Wildcats advanced to the NCAA Tournament for the school-record fifth consecutive season and posted its eighth straight 20-win season. Under second-year head coach Bruce Weber, the squad posted a 15-2 record at home this past season, including a Bramlage Coliseum record 15-game winning streak from Nov. 13 to March 1. The team is 32-3 at home under Weber.
The Wildcats are expected to return nine lettermen, including five players with starting experience, in 2014-15 to go along with Division I transfers Justin Edwards and Brandon Bolden. The group is headlined by All-Big 12 Second Team selection Marcus Foster (15.5 ppg., 3.2 rpg.) and honorable mention pick Thomas Gipson (11.7 ppg., 6.5 rpg.). Overall, the team returns more than 70 percent of its scoring and 65 percent of its rebounding.
