Martin To Throw Out First Pitch at Kauffman

MANHATTAN, Kan. – Head coach Frank Martin will throw out the first pitch at Kauffman Stadium on Wednesday, August 18, as the Kansas City Royals host the Cleveland Indians for K-State Day at 7:10 p.m. CT.


Fans will be able to pick up season ticket information for the football and men’s and women’s basketball home seasons as well as the upcoming Wildcat sporting events in Kansas City in the Outfield Experience.  K-State will play Iowa State in football at Arrowhead Stadium on Saturday, September 18 then UNLV in men’s basketball at the Sprint Center on Tuesday, December 21.  It will also be “Buck Night” at the K, where fans can get hot dogs, small Pepsi drinks, peanuts, Twinkies, Gameday magazines and Scorecards for $1.  Tickets can be purchased at


Football season tickets are currently on sale, starting as low as $180 for the six-game home season, which includes tilts with UCLA, Missouri State, UCF, Nebraska, Oklahoma State and Texas.  Less than 3,500 tickets remain for the second annual K-State Family Reunion against UCLA on Sept. 4 at 2:30 p.m. CT.  General admission seating for the opener starts at $35, while there are also rates available for as low as $20 for groups of 50 or more.  Tickets for the Iowa State game at Arrowhead Stadium are also currently on sale, starting at $30 for the upper level reserved. Men’s basketball season ticket packages start at $345 for bench seating, while Cat Cushion and Chairback pricing starts at $365 and $445, respectively.  There are also a limited number of Young Alumni packages priced at $200, which are available for all K-State undergraduate degree recipients in the past five years (August 2006 to August 2010).  An Ahearn Fund contribution is required for all premium, Chairback and cushioned seating.  Tickets for the UNLV game at the Sprint Center can be purchased for as low as $30 through the Athletic Ticket Office.


Women’s basketball season tickets begin at $78 for general admission, while bench and chairback seating is available for $99 and $132, respectively.  K-State is also offering a “Wildcat 4-Pack” this year which consists of four general admission tickets for $200. Season tickets are only $50 for those with military IDs stationed at Fort Riley.
