MANHATTAN, Kan.
- Kansas State men's basketball season tickets continue to be a hot item with fewer than 400 tickets remaining for the upcoming 2011-12 season.

These remaining tickets, which went on sale to the public today, are available in a variety of sections, including seats that require an Ahearn Fund donation and seats that do not require a donation. 

Prices start at $345 for bench season tickets, which can be purchased at a discount rate of $276 for faculty and staff.  Young Alumni can purchase up to two season tickets in bench and cushion seating for $200 each.  These packages are available to all K-State undergraduate degree recipients in the past five years (May 2007 to May 2011).  An Ahearn Fund contribution is required for all premium, chairback and cushioned seating.  Specific required giving levels by section are listed at www.AhearnFund.com.

The Wildcats were a tough ticket in 2010-11, attracting 12,652 fans per game to rank 26th nationally and third in the Big 12.  In all, K-State drew 200,000 or more fans for the fourth time in the last five seasons.   The team also had 18,422 fans witness the UNLV game at the Sprint Center.

Kansas State made its third appearance in the NCAA Tournament in the last four seasons in 2010-11, as the Wildcats compiled a 23-11 overall record and earned a tie for third place in the Big 12 standings with a 10-6 mark.  It marked the school's fifth consecutive 20-win season and fifth straight trip to the postseason, both firsts for the program.  The squad will return seven lettermen, including five with starting experience, in 2011-12.
