Student Tickets for Sprint Center Game On Sale Friday

MANHATTAN, Kan. - Student tickets for the Thanksgiving weekend K-State men's basketball game against IUPUI at the Sprint Center in Kansas City go on sale Friday at a special price of $10, athletics officials announced today.

K-State students holding ICAT season basketball tickets will have first opportunity to purchase tickets beginning at 9 a.m., Friday at the Athletics Ticket Office in Bramlage Coliseum.  Students with general admission season tickets may purchase tickets beginning on Monday.  All purchases must be done in-person at the ticket office with a valid student ID.  Each student may bring a maximum of 10 IDs.

This will be the third consecutive year the Wildcats have hosted the Holiday Classic presented by Subway in the Sprint Center.  The game tips off at 3 p.m., Saturday, Nov. 28.  

Students who purchase a ticket to the game will receive a bonus point in the new rewards program, which encourages student attendance at all home games while creating a priority system for game-day lineup procedures at Bramlage Coliseum for the Kansas game on Jan 30.  Students will receive one point for each men's basketball game attended prior to Jan. 30 for a maximum number of nine points.   The bonus point for the IUPUI game makes it possible to make up a point for missing a home game.  

The online registration process for the new rewards program starts at 9 a.m., Monday.  Students will be required to sign up as individuals or in groups of 2-10 people at   

Public tickets are available for $25 at any Ticketmaster outlet, by calling Ticketmaster at 816.931.3330 or online at  A limited number of public tickets remain available through the K-State Athletics Ticket Office. 

As a reminder, tipoff for the contest has been moved up 30 minutes to 3 p.m., to accommodate the FOX Sports Kansas City television broadcast.  The game was originally scheduled to start at 3:30 p.m.

The Wildcats open the regular-season against Loyola-Chicago on Friday in Bramlage Coliseum.  Tipoff is scheduled for 7 p.m.
