Texas Southern Game Selected for Cox, KSMO

Sophomore Nick Russell and the Wildcats return to action on Friday vs. Texas Southern.

MANHATTAN, Kan. – Kansas State athletic officials announced today that Friday’s men’s basketball game vs. Texas Southern (1-4) has been selected for telecast by Cox Communications and KSMO-TV in Kansas City.


The contest, which tips off at 7 p.m., the day after Thanksgiving at Bramlage Coliseum, will be seen statewide on the Cox Communications cable system, primarily on Kansas 22.  In the Southeast portion (Coffeyville, Iola and Pittsburg) of the state, the game will be seen on Channel 98.  It can also be viewed throughout the Kansas City Metro Area on KSMO-TV 62.  In addition, the game can be found on ESPN Full Court and ESPN3.com. 


Veteran announcers, Ben Boyle (play-by-play) and Stan Weber (analyst), will call the action for Cox.


There are still a limited number of general admission tickets available to Friday’s contest available for $20 at the Athletics Ticket Office.  In addition, tickets remain for games against UMKC (Thursday, Dec. 23), North Florida (Friday, Dec. 31) and Savannah State (Monday, Jan. 3).  For $20 per game, or $45 for all three match-ups, fans can choose between reserved seats in Section 18 or 25, or general admission tickets in Sections 19-24.  Tickets can be purchased online at www.kstatesports.com, by calling toll free at (800) 221.CATS (2287) or in-person at the Athletics Ticket Office located in Bramlage Coliseum.  


Tickets remain for the Hy-Vee Wildcat Classic with UNLV at the Sprint Center in Kansas City, Mo., on Tuesday, Dec. 21.  Tickets for this highly-anticipated match-up are priced at $30 (lower-level end zone) and $20 (upper level), and can be purchased through the Ticket Office or Ticketmaster, by calling (800) 745.3000 or online at www.Ticketmaster.com.  Group tickets starting at $10 each are also available in the upper level.
