• K-State is now 464-607-41 in its 115 years of college football... With the victory, Kansas State is now bowl eligible for the 14th time in school history... The Wildcats are bowl eligible for the first time since 2006 and the first time under Bill Snyder since the Big 12 Championship season of 2003... Saturday night's game was K-State's home finale and also Senior Day for the 2010 season as K-State honored its 22 senior student-athletes before the game... This was the 11th meeting in the history of the series between Kansas State and Texas, the series now standing at 6-5 in favor of Kansas State... This was the first meeting between the schools in which neither team was ranked in the polls since the 1942 meeting... The Wildcats are 5-2 against Texas during the Big 12 era and have won three straight meetings between the schools... K-State is 21-23 all-time against teams from the Big 12 South division, including a 17-15 mark during the Big 12 era... All-time against teams from the Lonestar State, K-State is 29-28 including a 19-12 mark during the Bill Snyder era... The Wildcats are now 69-49 (.585) in Big 12 action... Under Snyder, K-State is 13-5-1 when playing for their sixth win and for bowl qualification during the regular season.

• Saturday's game was the 128th television appearance by K-State, with the Wildcats accruing a 66-62 (.516) record in those contests, including a 5-2 record this season... Under head coach Bill Snyder since the 1991 season, K-State is 42-13 (.764) in the month of November.

• Kansas State extended its scoring streak to 173 consecutive games on Daniel Thomas' 32-yard touchdown run in the first quarter... The streak is the 10th-longest in the nation and the second-longest in the Big 12 behind Nebraska's 185-game streak... The Wildcats scored its first points of the game on a touchdown for the second straight game and the third time this season... Since 1990, K-State is 128-24 (.842) when scoring the first points of the game... Since 1990 when K-State has had the lead at the half, the Wildcats are 141-5 (.966) and are 4-0 this season.

• K-State recorded 261 rushing yards and five rushing touchdowns on Saturday night, with sophomore quarterback Collin Klein notching a career-high 127 yards and two touchdowns and senior running back Daniel Thomas totaling 106 yards and two touchdowns... This is the first time K-State has had a pair of players surpass the 100-yard barrier since James Johnson (127 yards) and Leon Patton (112 yards) did it at Missouri on Oct. 21, 2006... This is the second time this season that K-State has rushed for five touchdowns in a game (Oct. 14, 2010 at Kansas)... K-State entered the game ranked second in the Big 12 and 25th in the nation in rushing... This was the fifth game this season that K-State has rushed for 200 or more yards in a game.

• The Wildcats' defense registered five interceptions on Saturday and have now forced 12 turnovers (seven interceptions, five fumbles) in the past four games... In the previous four games, K-State only forced five turnovers... K-State registered 17 points off the five interceptions on Saturday... In the last two meetings with the Longhorns, Kansas State has intercepted nine Texas passes... In the last meeting with Texas on Sept. 29, 2007, K-State intercepted Colt McCoy four times... In the last two home games against schools from the state of Texas (Texas A&M on Oct. 17, 2009 and tonight against Texas), K-State has registered eight interceptions and outscored them 101-28.

• K-State pulled in five interceptions on Saturday night, which improves the Wildcats total to 11 on the season... It was the most interceptions by K-State since at least the 1992 season... The school record is seven interceptions which came against Missouri twice on Nov. 17, 1955 and Oct. 8, 1938... Senior defensive back Stephen Harrison tallied his second of the season during the first quarter... Junior defensive back Tysyn Hartman recorded two interceptions with both setting up K-State touchdowns... Hartman's two interceptions were his first of the 2010 season and the sixth and seventh of his career... Redshirt freshman defensive back Ty Zimmerman tallied his first and second career interceptions.

• Sophomore quarterback Collin Klein made his first career start on Saturday night... He finished 2-of-4 for nine yards and rushed a career-high 25 times for a career-high 127 yards and two touchdowns... His second quarter rushing touchdowns of 12 and 10 yards were his second and third this season and of his career... The two completions by K-State tied the school record for fewest in a game, which is the seventh time this has happened; the last time was Nov. 1, 1986... The four pass attempts set a new school record for fewest in a game... The nine total passing yards by the Wildcats were the fewest since the school record was set on Nov. 19, 1955 against Oklahoma State (minus-3).

• Senior running back Daniel Thomas rushed 18 times for 106 yards and a touchdown in his 21st career start, which is every game of his K-State career... He carded the only two catches for nine yards for an all-purpose yardage total of 115 on the night... Thomas was involved in 37.0 percent of K-State's offensive snaps (18 rushes and two receptions)... Thomas has now amassed 1,102 yards on the ground this season and 2,367 in his career... During the contest, Thomas moved into fourth in school history for career rushing yards with 2,367 and passed Mike Lawrence (2,265; 1994-97)... For the season, Thomas has 2,778 all-purpose yards... He now has 23 rushing touchdowns in his career, which is tied for sixth in school history with Michael Bishop (1997-98) and Mack Herron (1968-69)... It was his 11th career 100-yard rushing game, which is second in school history, his sixth this season and third straight... His 11 career games with 100 rushing yards ranks second in school history for a career... For his career, Thomas has 461 rushes in his career, which is eighth in school history.

• Senior kick returner/running back William Powell returned one kickoff for 62 yards on Saturday... He now has 726 kickoff return yards this season, which ranks second in school history... With his total on Saturday night, Powell moved into 10th in school history for career kickoff return yardage with 726, passing James Witherspoon (1981-85; 722)... Powell also talllied two carries for 28 yards and a touchdown for an all-purpose yardage total of 90 yards.

• K-State's average field position on Saturday night was its own 45... The Wildcats scored three of its five touchdowns on two plays or less with each of those three touchdowns coming in less than 55 seconds... None of the three touchdowns were longer than 32 yards... This season, K-State has scored eight touchdowns in two plays or less.

This ranks as the largest combined attendance total for a six-game home schedule and the ninth-largest combined attendance total in school history. This is an average of 49,816 for the six contests played in Manhattan, which ranks as the third-highest attendance average in school history (1999; 51,136 and 2000; 50,260).
