MANHATTAN, Kan. - Kansas State head football coach Bill Snyder announced Friday that assistant coach Keith Burns has resigned his post to take a position at Ole Miss.

"This was an opportunity for Keith to be with a coach whom he had worked for three years," said Snyder. "He and Houston (Nutt) go back a long way to their days at the University of Arkansas, and I'm confident he will do well at Mississippi."

Burns, who coached the Wildcat defensive backs in 2010, will re-join Nutt at Ole Miss after serving as his defensive coordinator at Arkansas from 1998-1999.
