Following a 10-3 campaign in 2011 that included a No. 8 final ranking in the BCS standings and a berth in the AT&T Cotton Bowl Classic, excitement is building for K-State’s 2012 football season as athletics officials announced today a full menu of ticket options for the upcoming schedule when season tickets go on sale Monday.

Fans will again be offered a variety of choices for season and single-game tickets in 2012 for a slate that includes seven games in Bill Snyder Family Stadium, including four against Big 12 opponents in the new-look Big 12 Conference and a non-conference tilt with Miami out of the ACC. The Wildcats’ 12-game slate includes eight opponents who were bowl eligible in 2011, three of which will visit Bill Snyder Family Stadium, while six have already appeared in various 2012 preseason Top 25 polls.
Season ticket prices for 2012 remain unchanged from last season. Public season bench seating in Bill Snyder Family Stadium is priced at $320, a cost of $45 per game, while chairback seating is $355 or $51 per game. Prices for K-State faculty/staff are $255 for bench and $285 for chairback – a cost of $40 per game. The North End Zone, which was sold out on a season ticket basis in 2011, will be priced at $210 per ticket with a 4-pack available for $599 if purchased before April 27.

“Following a memorable 2011 season and a berth in the AT&T Cotton Bowl, excitement is building towards 2012 as we enter a new era of the Big 12 Conference,” Athletics Director John Currie said. “With seven home games that include programs such as Miami, Texas, Oklahoma State and rival KU, it is important to provide our fans with different price levels and options to ensure that Bill Snyder Family Stadium is filled each home Saturday this fall.”
Those interested in purchasing new season tickets can do so in person at the Athletics Ticket Office in Bramlage Coliseum, by calling 1-800-221-CATS or online at www.k-statesports.com. Seating location assignments will be determined in May after all renewal orders and upgrade requests from current season-holders have been processed. Season ticket holders renewing their tickets can do so online beginning Monday and will be mailed a paper renewal form by March 19. Season ticket holders may also purchase additional single-game tickets for home and away games with their renewal order.

Fans ordering their season tickets may again take advantage of a payment plan option at no extra cost. Those who renew before March 30 can elect to split the cost into five equal payments or four equal installments if received after March 30.

A Young Alumni ticket package is available at only $195 for K-Staters who received their undergraduate degree since December 2007.  It is anticipated that the suite, club, chairback and view level seats will be sold out through season ticket renewals with remaining season ticket and single-game options available in premium bench sections along the sidelines of the lower level and bench seating in sections 9 through 20 in the south end zone and sections 424 to 426 on the east side of the stadium.
Back again in 2012 are several single-game promotions that will continue to provide fans even more flexibility. Single-game tickets will go on sale to the general public online at k-statesports.com beginning June 6 and will feature numerous options and price levels, beginning with the fourth-annual K-State Family Reunion against Missouri State on September 1. A limited number of $15 tickets to the home opener will be available for one week only from June 6 through June 13. Premium bench seating will be priced at $35 for the Missouri State and North Texas contests, while bench seats are $25. A four-pack to either game is available for just $75 if purchased by August 1, while group and military discounts are available to the first two home contests for $15 per ticket.

Tickets for the Texas Tech, Oklahoma State and Texas games are priced at $65 (premium bench) and $55 (bench), while the Miami and KU games will be $85 (premium bench) and $75 (bench). A four-pack to either the Texas Tech, Oklahoma State or Texas game is also available for just $99, but must be purchased by October 1 (Texas Tech and Oklahoma State) or November 1 (Texas). Fans can also order a combo package for $70 which includes one bench ticket to either Texas Tech or Oklahoma State and a bench ticket to the Texas game.

Also, the 2012 Purple/White spring game is set for 1:10 p.m. on April 28 with tickets going on sale April 1. All seats are $5 and may be purchased online or at the K-State Athletics Ticket Office.

K-State returns eight starters on offense, six on defense and both kickers from its 10-3 AT&T Cotton Bowl squad in 2011. The Wildcats will be led by All-America candidates Collin Klein (QB) and Arthur Brown (LB), while 2011 Walter Camp All-Americans Nigel Malone (DB) and Tyler Lockett (KR/WR) also return.
