K-State to Hold Football Coaching Clinic

MANHATTAN, Kan. – The Kansas State football program will hold a coaching clinic at Bill Snyder Family Stadium and the Vanier Football Complex April 11-12 to provide area staffs with the resources to develop as a coach and mentor young student-athletes.

The clinic, which is open to coaching staffs of all levels from youth league to junior college, will provide participants the opportunity to observe two Wildcat team practices, presentations by keynote and guest speakers, as well as drill demonstrations with K-State coaches.

Among the keynote speakers will be 2011 and 2012 National Coach of the Year Bill Snyder as well as Wildcat coordinators from both the offensive and defensive side of the ball.

Registration is now $45 per coach if completed prior to April 4 and $55 per coach thereafter. For more information, including clinic schedules and order forms, visit www.k-statesports.com or contact the K-State football office at 785-532-5876 or footballcamps@kstatesports.com.

The Wildcat football program is coming off an 8-5 season that saw the squad win six of its last seven games including a Buffalo Wild Wings Bowl victory over Michigan. K-State returns 12 starters from last season and a total of eight players that earned All-Big 12 Conference accolades a year ago, including two All-Americans in Tyler Lockett and Ryan Mueller.

The Wildcats, led by five-time National Coach of the Year Bill Snyder, will begin spring practice April 2, and season tickets for an exciting seven-game 2014 home schedule are currently on sale.
