K-State Spring Football Special Airs Tonight

MANHATTAN, Kan. Fox Sports Net will give Wildcat fans an inside look at Kansas State’s 2007 spring game and preview the upcoming season in a 30 minute special that premieres tonight at 6:30 p.m. on FSN Midwest.

Hosted by Dave Armstrong, the special is part of FSN’s Big 12 Spring Football Tour and will air a total of 10 times in May and June.

In addition to highlights of the spring game held at Bill Snyder Family Stadium on April 21 and a preview of the 2007 season, the special will also include: 

A “Sounds of the Game” mic’d-up segment featuring defensive coordinator Tim Tibesar and offensive coordinator James Franklin
An interview with head coach Ron Prince
Player interviews with quarterback Josh Freeman, wide receiver Jordy Nelson and defensive back Marcus Watts
A profile of defensive end Ian Campbell
A segment featuring Paul Coffman and Ron Freeman former pro football players and fathers of K-State quarterbacks Carson Coffman and Josh Freeman who give their takes on the upcoming season

FSN Midwest reaches more than 4.3 million cable and satellite television homes in six states and telecasts more than 2000 hours of local programming each year. In addition to airing on FSN Midwest, K-State’s spring game special will also air on other selected FSN regional outlets as well as Fox College Sports. Fans should living outside the FSN broadcast region should check local listings or search FoxSports.com for more details.

Kansas State kicks off its 2007 season on Saturday, Sept. 1, when the Wildcats travel to Auburn to face the Tigers at Jordan-Hare Stadium. K-State’s home season opener is slated for Saturday, Sept. 8, vs. defending New Mexico Bowl champion San Jose State.
