National Broadcasts Highlight TV Picks for First Three Games

MANHATTAN, Kan. - K-State's first three football games will air to a full national audience, including two appearances on the new FOX Sports 1 all-sports network, as the Big 12 Conference announced today television selections for the opening weeks of the season.

The Wildcats' sold-out August 30 season opener against North Dakota State, as previously announced, will be aired live on FOX's new 24/7 all-sports channel which will be carried in at least 90 million homes nationwide, while the network will return to Manhattan on September 7 for the Louisiana game and kick at 5:30 p.m.

The September 14 matchup with UMass will be broadcast exclusively on K-StateHD.TV with kickoff slated for 6:10 p.m. at Bill Snyder Family Stadium. K-StateHD.TV programming will begin at 5:10 p.m. with its K-State Gameday show featuring Brian Smoller and former Wildcat great and 2012 College Football Hall of Fame inductee Mark Simoneau.

Single-game tickets for the eight-game home schedule go on sale Wednesday as department officials announced earlier this week that all available public season tickets, as well as the North Dakota State and Iowa State games, are already sold out.

Though sellouts have been announced, visiting teams will have an opportunity to return unused tickets approximately one month prior to each game, while the K-State Ticket Office may release standing room or general admission tickets in the fall based on student pass sales and anticipated attendance.
