K-State announces non-conference kickoff times

MANHATTAN, Kan. With the start of the 2007 football season fast approaching, the Kansas State Athletics Department announced kickoff times for the Wildcats’ two non-conference football games Friday afternoon.

The Wildcats, who will open the season at Auburn on Saturday, Sept. 1, in front of a national television audience on ESPN, are slated to make their home debut at Bill Snyder Family Stadium a week later on Saturday, Sept. 8, vs. defending New Mexico Bowl champion San Jose State. The game has been set for a 6:05 p.m. (CDT) kickoff and will mark just the second meeting between the two programs in football.

Kansas State officials also set a 6:05 p.m. (CDT) kick time for the Wildcats’ game vs. Missouri State on Saturday, Sept. 15. The Wildcats and Bears have never met before on the gridiron.

Due to the possibility of television affecting the remaining schedule, start times for the balance of Kansas State’s nine games are listed as TBA.

Kansas State’s popular Harley Day has been scheduled for the Wildcats’ 2007 Big 12 home opener on Saturday, Oct. 6, against Kansas. Baylor will serve as K-State’s 2007 homecoming opponent. The Wildcats and Bears will square off at Bill Snyder Family Stadium on Saturday, Oct. 27.

Season tickets remain on sale, with several pricing and location options available. Reserved bench seating is priced at $300 for the six-game package, while tickets in the general admission "End Zone Fun Zone" of the north end zone are $215.
