Victory at OSU in 1999 Opens Countdown

MANHATTAN, Kan. Kansas State’s thrilling 44-21 victory over Oklahoma State in 1999 has been selected as the 10th-best road win in the last 25 years by the k-statesports.com staff in Powercat Passport’s countdown of the program’s top wins away from home.

Down 21-0 in the second quarter, Kansas State ripped off 44 unanswered points and dominated both sides of the ball for the remainder of the game. The Wildcats finished the game with 520 yards of total offense against the nation’s fourth-ranked defense and got a stellar passing performance from Jonathan Beasley, who finished 13-of-25 for 311 yards and six total touchdowns (four pass, two run).

The weekly countdown of k-statesports.com’s top-10 road games will continue each week through August 31, when the No. 1 road game of the past 25 seasons as selected by the staff at k-statesports.com is announced. The countdown is leading up to the Wildcats’ season opener at Auburn on Sept. 1.
