Fan Appreciation Day Set for Saturday

MANHATTAN, Kan. - Wildcat fans will get their first opportunity to see the 2009 football squad on Saturday as K-State hosts Fan Appreciation Day at Bill Snyder Family Stadium.

Gates on the west side of the stadium will open at 5 p.m., and fans may come in at that time to watch practice. The public is asked to park in the west lot and can access the stadium through Gates C, D or H.

Following the workout, Coach Snyder and the team captains will address the crowd, and fans will then be able to participate in an autograph session on the field with all players and coaches. Those participating in the autograph session are asked to limit the number of autograph items they bring to two per person.

Both season and single-game tickets for the 2009 football season remain available to the general public, including individual reserved tickets for as low as $20 and group tickets for as low as $10 for the UMass game. Fans can purchase tickets at the stadium on Saturday as the west ticket booth will be open at 4 p.m. prior to Fan Appreciation Day activities.

Tickets may also be purchased online at, in person at the K-State Athletic Ticket Office in Bramlage Coliseum or by calling, 1-800-221-CATS.

K-State opens the 2009 season on September 5 with the K-State Family Reunion against UMass in Snyder's return to the sidelines following a three-year retirement. Kickoff is set for 6:10 p.m.
