Family Reunion Closing in on Third Straight Sellout

K-State opens the season September 3

Aug. 25, 2011

MANHATTAN, Kan. – With a capacity crowd expected for next Saturday’s K-State Family Reunion, K-State Athletic officials announced today that fewer than 2,500 tickets remain for the season-opener against Eastern Kentucky.

In anticipation of another sellout crowd and to accommodate Wildcat fans who wish to purchase remaining tickets, the K-State Athletics Ticket Office at Bramlage Coliseum will be open this Saturday from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m.  Fans can stop by in person or call to purchase tickets at 1-800-221-CATS.

“We are looking forward to an exciting weekend,” Athletics Director John Currie said. “Our fans have responded once again as we are closing in on our third straight sellout for a season opener. We still have limited seating available for the matchup but expect ticket sales to continue at a brisk pace throughout the next week.”

Reserved View Level tickets remain available for as little as $20, while members of the military can also receive a ticket to the Family Reunion contest for just $10 with proper identification. Group tickets for the game are available for as low as $10 as well.
The game against the Colonels, which kicks at 6:10 p.m., will be broadcast live across the globe in high definition on K-StateHD.TV beginning with K-State Gameday, featuring Mark Simoneau, at 5:15 p.m. For information on K-StateHD.TV, including subscription details, visit
