Family Reunion Closing in on Sellout

MANHATTAN, Kan. - With a capacity crowd expected for Saturday's K-State Family Reunion, K-State Athletic officials announced Tuesday that approximately 4,000 tickets remain for the season-opener against UMass, including 1,700 single-game seats.

General admission tickets remain available in Section 28, while members of the military can also receive a $20 GA ticket in Section 28 to the Family Reunion contest with proper identification. Group tickets for the UMass game are available for as low as $10 as well. Fans that purchase tickets this week are also encouraged to utilize the "print at home" option as game-day draws nearer.

In an effort to accommodate as many fans as possible, the ticket office at Bramlage Coliseum will hold extended office hours on Thursday and Friday until 7 p.m. 

"We are looking forward to an exciting weekend," Athletics Director John Currie said. "It will be great to see all of Wildcat Nation here on Saturday, including more than 300 former players, as we welcome Coach Snyder back to the sidelines. We still have limited seating available but expect ticket sales to continue at a brisk pace throughout the rest of the week."

Season tickets for 2009 also remain available in good locations. The most convenient way to order tickets is here online at Tickets may also be purchased at the K-State Athletic Ticket Office in Bramlage Coliseum during the week as well as on Thursday and Friday at the Purple Power Play on Poyntz celebration.

The weekend is full of activities as the largest former player reunion in K-State history and a spectacular postgame fireworks show are among the highlights surrounding Saturday's football game.

Over 300 former K-State football players plus their families will be in attendance for the UMass game as the fraternity celebrates the return of Coach Snyder to the sidelines. All former players back for the reunion will be honored during pregame activities on September 5 and will wear K-State jerseys provided by GTM Sportswear.

The fireworks show, presented by the K-State Student Union Program Council, K-State Athletics, Commerce Bank, Briggs Auto, Varney's Bookstore and Kite's Bar and Grill, will be choreographed to music

Kickoff for Coach Snyder's first game in three seasons is set for 6:10 p.m. at Bill Snyder Family Stadium. Will call on Saturday will open at 3 p.m. at the stadium's west ticket booth.
