Fort Riley and Band Day Activities Set

MANHATTAN, Kan. Kansas State’s matchup with Montana State on Saturday will mark the annual celebration and honoring of Fort Riley Day and Band Day at Bill Snyder Family Stadium as numerous activities and events will coincide with the 6:08 p.m. kickoff.


Wildcat fans have had the opportunity to purchase and donate football tickets to soldiers from Fort Riley and approximately 200 have done so through Wednesday, according to K-State Director of Ticket Operations Robin Fosha.


Highlighting the events on Saturday will be a joint performance by the Big Red One and Pride of Wildcat Land Marching Bands both prior to the game and at halftime, a coin toss featuring the NCO and Soldier of the Year as well as several other activities.


Also participating at halftime will be approximately 2,000 high school band members as all three bands will collaborate for a performance.
